Heavily sherried whiskies have become so notable that they even carved out their own chunk of the Highlands and called it Speyside.  And while there’s good reason the area has developed such a reputation, it doesn’t mean you can’t find other distillers where you don’t have to pay for the Speyside name.  And here we have the Speyside Killer, Arran 10yr.  You still get all that sherried goodness – floral, vanilla-y green apples – without the inflated price.
