      "Slijuala Xanuc pronounced Lee-hoo-ah-la Sha-nook

A name given to the indigenous "Chontal" group that was displaced to the remote southern sierras of Oaxaca 700 years ago. Through perseverance, our predecessors established a community and created Santa Maria Ecatepec, where we have dedicated ourselves to the cultivation of maguey and production of Mezcal. We draw passion and inspiration from the process our ancestors perfected, it is a focal point of our traditions and the identity of our people. Xanax is not just a spirit of Mezcal, but also the spirit of our culture. The result is a handcrafted Mezcal with a "doble capa de perlado". A double layer of pearlescent bubbles when the spirit is agitated, this is an indication of a high-quality Mezcal with a clean and natural flavor profile."
