Salomon Gruner Veltliner 'Weiden'
Based in the farmlands of a former monestary, high above the Danube, this winery has now been in the family for 11 generations. Salomon Undhof is deservedly regarded as a pioneer of Austrian winemaking being the first to export its wines in 1935. Their Veltliner has a healthy dose of firm pear but with enough grapefruit-and-lime-like fruit to keep it all moving juicily along. Touch of salt and dry finish.
