Paladar Experimental Range Tequila Aged in Amburana
Amburana is a wood from Brazil that has been used for years to age cachaca, Brazilian rum, and is starting to catch on with tequila producers. Spicy notes of cinnamon and ginger pair well with roasted agave. Amburana also imparts a light vanilla sweetness and I get a touch of sweet minerality (one person described it as the flavor of white Valentine's Hearts candy). This is labeled experimental and it stays true. Tasting and unique on its own and shines through in a cocktail.
