Domaine des Malandes Chablis 2022

Another terrific vintage for this pure, lightly steely, and terrifically drinkable village Chablis that now comes from 100% organic vineyards. The family makes this from 8 small parcels scattered across the region with vines up to 60 years old. As always, this is pretty much the essence of Chardonnay grown on Kimmeridgian limestone soils.  It's fresh, vibrant and transparent, with lime and green apple fruit and loads of salty stone minerality. Less concentrated and more vivid and driven than some recent vintages, it's shellfish wine par excellence but awfully fun to just sip, too. And great value to boot!
