@rittenhouserye has long been a mainstay at any reputable cocktail bar. It's a spicy, fierce rye that shines through any drink it's thrown in. Its brashness is part of its allure.

So imagine my surprise when @womenwhowhiskeylbc showed up with a barrel sample and peaches, black tea and mint came tumbling out, tasty all on its lonesome. Quaffable and affordable rye whiskey, what a treat.

And it still plays well in cocktails. I've found myself enjoying it in an Improved Whiskey Cocktail but I'm guessing it would be great in a Mint Julep as well.

What egg-actly is going on here? @montagave releasing a 90pf blanco tequila out of NOM-1123. That all makes sense. But what's with the concrete egg?

In winemaking, concrete eggs and amphoras are used to let wine rest and settle without diminishing acidity. To my knowledge, this technique has not been used in tequila before but Montagave went out ahead and put it to the test with a custom made 20 ton concrete egg, resting the spirit for four weeks.

Not to be released till mid-Oct, we will be getting some at Roadrunner Spirits. Preorders are up now.
