Yohan Lardy Poppy Gamay 2022
This Vin de France bottling produced by one of Beaujolais' most vibrant young winemakers shows juicy and aromatic flavors of red berries, cranberry, and white pepper. Johan does all of his work manually and farms all of his vines organically. His wines are known for their concentration, vivacious nature, and bright acidity.
A touch of carbonic maceration gives ample fruit on the nose, with aromas of ripe Bing cherries, raspberry, cinnamon and earth. On the palate, those berry and cherry notes are there, but drier than the nose would have you believe with well integrated acidity. We recommend giving it a slight chill!
Grapes, coming from 60-year-old vines, are hand-harvested and fermented via native yeasts and without sulfites. There is a touch of carbonic maceration. Aged in stainless steel tanks. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
