"Kogei" translates to "traditional Japanese craftsmanship" and thus sees Suntory collaborate with Japanese traditional crafts artisans in creating the new set of whiskies - a Yamazaki and a Hakushu, both featuring Peated Malt and the use of Spanish Oak.  Inspired by this philosophy of Kogei, Shinji Fukoya revisits Yamazaki’s early experiments with Spanish oak casks and peated spirit. The result is a beautifully balanced whisky, where subtle smoke intertwines with rich dried fruits, revealing layers of mocha, raisins, almonds, and sweet spices.
