Ojai Vineyard has been making incredible Chardonnays with one foot in New World and one in tradition since the 80's. Their regular release is top notch and worth setting a place at table, but this special bottling is on another level. From the small vineyard, Puerta Del Mar, in the Santa Rita Hills AVA of Santa Barbara, only four barrels were selected. Aged for 15 months in French oak, 16% of which were new, it has a brilliant balance of zingy lemon and soft vanilla. Full flavored with stone fruit, pears, and a pinch of salt. Enjoy with food and friends.
