Tequila Espíritu Bramido Blanco High Proof
Casa Tequilera Joselito (NOM-1675), Tizapán el Alto, Mexico
98pf
Tequila Espírito Bramido is the first tequila made with agave from the terroir of Lago de Chapala (Lake Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico). Oswaldo Gonzalez is a sixth generation agave farmer and master distiller for Bramido. Gonzalez's ancestors have been crafting products (such as belts, hats and small tool bags) from agave fibers since 1869. In June of 2024, Oswaldo's dad decided to take the family cultural heritage to the next level and founded the Disitillery Casa Tequilera Joselito (NOM 1675), in Tizapán El Alto, Jalisco. Since then, Oswaldo has been perfecting his craft, producing Tequila Bramido. Bramido is made exclusively with agaves from the shores of Lake Chapala. They use spring water from their own spring, originating in the mountains of Sierra Del Tigre. This high-proof blanco tequila comes in at 49% abv. It is cooked in stone brick ovens. Tahona crushed. Fermented in stainless steel tanks with open air fermentation and spontaneous wild yeast (which Oswaldo says contributes to their unique tequila profile) and distilled in copper pots.
