R. St Barth is the official rum brand of the Saint-Barthélemy distillery, producing agricole-style white rums on the small French Caribbean island of Saint-Barthélemy. Known locally simply as ‘Rhum St Barth,’ the brand bottles small batches for both the local market and export. Its Cool expression is a crisp white rum built for cocktails, made from fresh sugarcane juice in the French island tradition.

 

The Saint Barthelemy distillery is a small artisanal producer on the French Caribbean island of Saint-Barthélemy, part of the wider agricole rum tradition shared with nearby Guadeloupe and Martinique. It distills fresh cane juice into clean, aromatic white rums under the R. St Barth name, sold both on the island and to a wider export market.

 

R. St Barth Cool is a white rum produced on the small French Caribbean island of Saint-Barthélemy. The distillery makes its rum in the agricole tradition, using fresh pressed sugarcane juice rather than molasses. As a result, the spirit carries the bright, grassy character typical of French island rums such as those from Martinique and Guadeloupe.

 

This particular bottling is known as the ‘Cool’ expression, released at a robust 50% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is aimed squarely at cocktail use, offering enough strength and cane character to stand up well in a Ti Punch or a daiquiri. Today, only a limited number of bottles remain, so this batch is offered as final stock.

 

Tasting Notes

Nose: Fresh sugarcane and light grassy, vegetal notes, with a clean, slightly floral lift typical of agricole-style white rums.

Palate: Bright and vibrant, with cane juice sweetness balanced by a firm, warming alcohol presence at 50% ABV.

Finish: Crisp and relatively short, leaving a clean grassy, mineral note behind.
