An Amy Atwood production, 93% 14-day skin contact chardonnay with 7% direct press pinot noir from the Russian River Valley. Neutral oak and minimal intervention. With a set up like that, I expected some creature I'd have to wrestle with but instead this wine is has bright acidity with floral and stone fruit notes. Fuller bodied but makes a wonderful initiator into the world of the orange.
