1 1/2oz Mosswood Espresso Barrel Whiskey
1/2oz Teeling Irish Whiskey
Heavy 1/4oz 2:1 demerara syrup
3 dashes Bitter Truth Creole Bitters
3 dashes Angostura Bitters
Stir on large ice cube and garnish with grapefruit twist
Mosswood Espresso Barrel Aged Whiskey
Mosswood runs a program of filling barrels with different liquids and then refilling them with whiskey. In this case, a barrel is filled with Bay Area cold brew overnight and then emptied. While still wet, the whiskey is added. The coffee flavor is very obvious but without the added sugar other flavored whiskies have. Cool program, delicious (coffee) whiskey.
