Montagave Heritage Blanco Tequila Batch 3

Montagave comes to us from the Cascahuin distillery in Jalisco, by way of Aspen, Colorado.  Montagave releases their tequila in batches, highlighting the nuanced differences that changes and tweaks create.  For Batch 3, they blended 14 barrels, some first fill and some third fill, for 45 days in used Grand Cru Bordeaux barrels, shy of the 60-day threshold that would be a reposado.  The result is a bold burst of roasted agave and stone fruit.
