“Mi Gusto Es” has its origins around 1984 in a small rustic palenque located in the town of Santiago Matatlán in the state of Oaxaca. Its founders were Martin García Sernas and Simona López Hernández, who were then a newly married couple determined to preserve the ancestral sale of mezcal, bringing this drink informally to the city of Oaxaca.

 

The blood of master mezcal makers ran through the veins of these producers, who were the ones who transmitted to them all the necessary knowledge to obtain the drink of the gods. By 1998 they had their mezcal factory, which they have maintained with hard work. In 2012, the company was established as “Mezcalería Mi Gusto Es S.A. de C.V.”
