Yes, it's that good. This bottle mops the floor with any other <$40 chillable California red I've tasted in recent memory. It's not even close. Most chill reds are the product of cheap fruit, short macerations and a rushed effort to grab profits. This bottle is a brilliantly conceived, slowly crafted, serious REAL wine. A 50:50 blend of Zach's increasingly legendary whole cluster Grenache + 50% barrel-fermented, sur-lie aged Syrah rosé. Everything done in neutral french oak barrels, unfined, unfiltered, minimal SO2.
