Le Clos des Grives Cotes du Jura Pinot Noir A Bec 2018

From the region's first-ever certified organic grower (1969!), this is classic Jura Pinot Pinot Noir: floral, high toned and elegant, clean as a whistle, with a really pretty bouquet. And with 5 years of aging under its belt, this bottle has entered a really nice plateau of drinkability that I expect will continue for another 2-3 years. Still some primary red fruit on the pallet but subtle secondary notes are beginning to sneak into the frame.  It's a rock-solid example of Cotes du Jura Pinot, from one of the oldest and tiniest vineyards in the appellation - and it's also the rare mature Pinot that drinks well on day #2.
