Herencia De Agaves (NOM-1648), El Arenal, Mexico
40% ABV
Starting out as a brand focused on barrel picks, founder and master distiller Miguel Ortiz was given the opportunity to run his own distillery. And that new operation is where House of Rare Blanco is born.
Open air fermentation, cooked for 24 hours in hornos, roller milled, and then twice distilled on stainless steel stills with copper coils. What comes out is a harmonious tequila that has cooked agave, minerality, green notes, and citrus but doesn't pull hard in any direction. Tastes both familiar and unique.
