Holmes Cay Reunion Island Grand Arome Rum

Made with the same exacting standards as all othe rums from this distillery this particular expression is highly prized amongst aficianados for its molasses base, very long fermentation, high ester count, hence, the Grand Arome in the name, and high abv. giving it an explosive profile of heady notes that freely mix between the tropical and herbaceous to savoury and spicy. A showstopper.

 

Strawberry, black cherry, licorice, and pickled tomatillo on a faintly herbal, umami-rich palate of overripe pineapple, salted grapefruit, and toffee with candied tomato and sweet cream on a long, fruity finish.
