El Dorado 12yr Aged Rum

Guyanese rum is notable for the Demerara River which imparts a lot of minerality into the fields of sugarcane surrounding it, which then makes its way into the rum. El Dorado is known for having wooden stills that have been operating for over 200 years. Somehow that all adds up to a 12 year old sipping rum that has chocolate and marzipan but, more surprisingly, fruit like dried figs and stewed plums. Truly unique in the world of dark rums.
