Ecliptic Linzer Torte Oort Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
Oort, named after the mysterious region of our solar system that breeds comets, is Ecliptic's tasty stout made from roasted barley and chocolate malts combined with three types of caramel malts. Then, last year, they decided to make a linzer torte edition, a zesty, baking spice laden pastry with hazelnuts from Austria. Now, this year, they've taken it a step further and aged it for 12 months in Portland's Bull Run bourbon barrels. Lots of fresh raspberry notes up front slowly turning into savory roasted chocolate by the end.
