Driftless Glen is getting a lot of attention lately, especially after being named one of the six best bourbons outside of Kentucky by Whiskey Advocate in 2021. A small cult distillery that is really hitting its stride. Fermentations are relatively long, between four and six days. The whiskey is distilled in a 500-gallon pot still and a 42 foot, 18 inch diameter column still, both from Vendome Copper & Brass Works. And whiskey is aged in full-sized 53 gallons barrels.
Their small batch bourbon is well-balanced and flavorful, rye-forward with multiple black tea flavors and a pleasant spice, from the higher rye content, with a relatively unique mashbill.
