Dark Arts 'Blunt Blend' Madeira & Armagnac Finish Rye

Macaulay Minton, who formerly ran the single barrel program at Wilderness Trail, struck out to create a whiskey that paired well with marijuana....yes....weed. The 'Blunt Blend' was born when he blended two 7yr barrels of MGP 95/5 rye finished in Armagnac casks & two more barrels of the same age finished in Madeira casks. He liked the outcome so much, he snagged 4 more barrels to complete the blend. The result is a honeysuckle/citrus spice with a turbinado sweetness balanced with a savory flaked sea salt & clove finish. This is that spicy 'good stuff' from MGP.
