    • A close cousin to Mezcal and Tequila, Bacanora is one of Mexico’s rising stars in agave spirits. Bacanora is a 100% agave spirit that was banned in 1915 because it was believed to cause sin and hedonism. The prohibition of Bacanora remained in effect for 87 years, and the only way to find it was through clandestine distillers. The agave plants are grown and processed in the desert city of Hermosillo, Sonora. The city’s blistering heat and char-broiled cuisine are well represented in Clandestino’s smoky notes. Bacanora is a unique spirit, perfect for those looking to try something new.
