"Cento Per Cento or “a hundred for a hundred” (100% Sangiovese) has high tones of cherry, plum and fresh cut young roses anchored by sagebrush, dust, and whole cluster baking spices. Full of flavor yet light on its feet, it's great with classic Italian dishes like Pappa al Pomodoro and pizza. Cento per Cento shines on its own, best shared amongst family and friends.
Finally a Washington Sangiovese that tastes great. The varietal is tricky in WA and makes decent rosé but until I had this wine I had never tasted a WA Sangio I liked. This is bright and full of spicy, bramble red fruit. Nice earthy core and tannins/acid are in balance. Wouldn’t say it has typicity like a Sangio from Tuscany but this is a great wine nonetheless. Moderate alcohol @ 13% makes it refreshing and more drinkable than some Italian Sangiovese.
