From vines that have been there since the 1880's and in the heart of classic zin land of Sonoma. In the 1980's, Bucklin was selling their grapes to Ravenswood, helping put Joel Peterson - the godfather of zin - and his winery on the map. With the torch passed down to son Will Bucklin as head winemaker, their delectable field blend is 65% zinfandel and a melange of 29 other varietals such as Grenache, Alicante Bouschet, Petite Sirah, Grand Noir, Syrah, Carignan, and Mourvedre. Ripe with creamy old-vine lushness, black cherry, juicy raspberry, dark Asian spice, and polished tannins. Dry farmed and organic.
