Bardstown Origin Series Bottled in Bond Wheated Bourbon

New make from Bardstown Bourbon with a mash bill of 68% corn, 20% wheat, and 12% malted barley, mimicking Heaven Hill's classic mash bill.  Six years, 100pf, at a reasonable price from a distillery that keeps pumping out hit after hit.

 

Notes of honey, cinnamon, clove, dried orange peel, roasted oak, vanilla, dried grass and toasted bread. It’s well balanced between the sweet, spice, oak, and fruit. As expected from wheated bourbon, it has a little extra spicy cinnamon and clove, but feels a bit fresher with more orange.
